How we research
How we research: clear sources and honest limits
This page describes the standards we aim to follow as the Persona Balance research library develops. It does not mean every workbook has been clinically tested or independently reviewed.
Start with a clear question
We focus each explainer on a specific question and define the terms we use.
Show the sources
When making a research claim, we aim to cite the original paper or an authoritative evidence review so readers can examine it themselves.
Explain what the evidence can tell us
We distinguish an association from a cause, describe relevant limitations and avoid assuming a finding applies to everyone.
Separate evidence from exercises
Journaling prompts and practical suggestions are invitations to reflect. They are not automatically validated interventions because they discuss a topic that has been researched.
Make corrections
If you spot an error, send us the page title, the statement in question and a source or explanation through our contact page.
Know the scope
Our resources provide general information and reflection tools. They do not diagnose conditions or replace individual professional support.
